纳洛酮/纳洛酮® is a medication designed to rapidly reverse an opioid overdose. It is an opioid antagonist—meaning that it binds to opioid receptors and can reverse and block the effects of other opioids. It can very quickly restore normal respiration to a person whose breathing has slowed or stopped as a result of overdosing with heroin or prescription opioid pain medications.

The course objectives include:
理解 - 理解 opioids, naloxone, and the mechanism of action of each substance.
防止 - 防止 an overdose.
识别 - 识别 signs of an opioid overdose.
回应 - 回应 to an overdose: accessing 911 emergency medical care, 人工呼吸, administering Naloxone, and post-resuscitation care.
